Quilts of Valor

In January we started a "Quilts of Valor' group in our GA/TN border area.  We meet once a month at Fran's House where she feeds us a wonderful lunch and then we get to stitch for as long as we want.  We generally stay until the end of the day to see how far and what we can accomplish.  Well on Wednesday we did manage to get oh I am going to say at least 5 tops finished and I think Linda got 5 pillow cases done also, it might of been 4 I am not sure but here are some pics from a wonderful day filled with friends, fellowship, laughs and delicious food.  We are in district 8 and hopefully next month we will have them completely finished but then I don't want to get to far ahead of myself.  Please let me introduce my partners in crime, Karen, the blonde; Linda, the one holding the pillowcase; Fran the  lady who shares her beautiful home with us and is a delicious cook; and then Lauren and Cindy were there also but they do not like their picture taken; and then me,  The quilt top I finished is the one where you only see the feet at the bottom.....lol.  I think it is a wonderful cause; a way to get involve with your community  and just a great way to say "thank you" to those who gave so much in one way or the other....have a good night everyone.

Morning Gene thanks for taking a peek, I appreciate it. The pattern is called Fresh Vanilla and I bought it but I heard that All People Quilt.com has it on their website but I have not checked it out yet. Contact me if it is not there!
