I took some of today and played

No I do not have any pictures of a clean room yet but they are coming.  I just was so tired of it that today was a gelli plate day.  My friend, Gayle and I have wanted to work with gelli plates and monochromatic painting on fabric.  We were trying to get together to do it but it just didn't work out so she was doing some at her house and I was doing some at my house.  It was just what I needed to lift my spirits.  I made the gelli plate myself and watched a bunch of you-tube videos on it and if you go to gelliarts.com you will find allot of info about it there.  By the end of the afternoon I learned a lot more than I knew in the beginning and hopefully the next round will be better,,,actually I think it is all about layering but I may not be right since I have only done it once so far...here are some of my fabrics that I did...I will post the others in a day or so because tomorrow is back to my room and hopefully near completion.  Have a good night and thanks for visiting.

That is very interesting. I don't know much about the technique.

Did I understand correctly that you made the gel plate to print with? I have one of the small Gelli Arts plates. I think I need to play with it more now!

Hi Gene yes I did make my large gelli plate in a cookie sheet. There are instructions on how to do this over at the gelliarts.com website, it is a video. Just let me know if you cannot locate it I will help if I can...It says it will last for 3 months but I could not keep it in the frig for that long and besides that I really used it the first time out by the time I was done it had a crack in it and was not worth keeping but it did last all day......
