Madrona Road Challenge from the Chattanooga MQG

Here at the Chattanooga Modern Quilt Guild we elected to join in on the Michael Miller's Madrona Road Fabric Challenge.  We were sent out fabric which Janet  put into handouts along with Kona Snow fabric and sense we are working out of the Quilting Modern book (see previous post) it was decided that we would use the log cabin modern block chapters to construct our own blocks.  They are due at tomorrows meeting so I decided since they were due tomorrow I could go ahead and post a pic now of them.  The first one is the 2 little pods that I really enjoyed making....I  can honestly say that in doing the modern blocks now I have learned some new things the one and only thing I really would rather not do but I am trying to get over it is iron the seams open.  The only reason is because then sometimes when you have a few cuts in the block then the block really does not want to lie flat like when you put them to one side.....enjoy your evening!
