I finished a few atc's for a swap and wanted to post a pic...they were fun to do and when you are in an exchange it just makes you feel like you received a piece of someone else's art from the heart and these are the perfect size....

small Thread Catcher

Hey there everyone.  I received a pattern from a friend, Linda for a small thread catcher.  Well I was looking at it and thought wow that can't take long and it did not.  I put it together in an hour.  I do suggest either buttons or charms for the center of the angles because you need that little weight to firm it up some.  But it was very fun, easy and turned out really cute don't you think?

Meet PINK!

Hey there, very good Monday to you!  In a group called grateful threads we are doing a theme a month no bigger than 12 x 12. The theme for February is Pink!  So in honor of Valentine's Day I made a 9 x 12 for my DH for Valentine's Day.  The name of it is "Bed of Roses"  since we like the Bon Jovi song that is what came to my mind.  What I did is layered a back, batting and muslin.  Painted the muslin and layered it with toole, then mixed a texture medium with pink and painted over it.  Then I stitched rose petals on, binded it and added the fun fur then added beaded champaign glasses and other beads.  The heart in the center was a bunch of little pieces of thread layered between two layers of water soluble then quilted and rinsed and added as the first layer of the heart.  THen I added the fun fur with the words on it and button holed it down....Happy Valentine's Day Honey!

My M-i-L's Favorite colors

Well I wanted to make my M-i-L a purse for her birthday next week and wanted to know her favorite colors other than mint green (that is a story all in itself).  So anyway when my dh asked her she said lavender and sun yellow so that is the colors I made her purse in.  It was a little hard for me to work with but I think she will like it and that is what counts...Happy Birthday Kathleen!  It is not in the mail yet and she does not like the computer so I know she will not see it.....enjoy

FMQ My first feathers

Well I tried to play with feathers a little today and this is how they turned out but I will keep practicing...I keep forgetting that I can stop the machine.  I guess that is called pacing yourself...

CQ blocks

Hi all I have been trying to clean out some of the stuff in the chest that is in my sewing room.  I want to collect all my cq blocks and see what I have and what I want to do with them.  I think they have layed around long enough.  I have quite a few mainly from working with groups at the cqi quilt group and then a few from one  on ones and a few I done myself.  Anyway I thought maybe you would like to see some of my collection....

 This one below I made the top to a tin for just stitching to make it easier to carry around the supplies on whatever I am working on.....enjoy
