Happy Easter

I am making my dinner for this beautfiul Easter Sunday that I will enjoy with most of my family. I wanted to take this moment and wish all my family and friends in blogland a wonderful Easter day and I hope it is filled with good thoughts; good friends; good food and family.

Postcard exchange (Japan)

Lisa and I are exchanging postcards this year. Each month we pick a new country, state, etc. Last month if you remember we had Ireland and April we had Japan. So here is my post card....

My Easter candle mat

I am doing an Easter candlemat for my table. I decided I was going to crazyquilt it and I am still stitching on it but wanted to post a pick so Carolyn can see it....enjoy

Iris,...the largest I have ever saw!

i took a couple of pics this morning of the irisis' I have in the backyar. Omg I don't know if you can actually see the size but they are huge.....and beautiful....enjoy

ATC Swap

I have made 3 atc's to swap out with members in a group that I am in and wanted to share pics. With each one I tried a different method, first one I used foil and black archieval ink then added some foam pieces, second I used luminere paint on paper towel and sealed it then stamped a moon and stars on it and hand stitched and last I used a inkjet transfer pic that I had and frayed the piece of fabric it is on. I really enjoyed working on these....have a good evening.

St. Paddy Day Dotees'

I know it is way passed St. Paddys Day but I feel behind with the grandbaby stuff and just finished them up. Now the recipents of these 2 dotees have been wonderful and I appreciate there kindness in lettine me be late. So here is a pic to share with all of you....

Working with Orange, blue & Purple..

Our challenge this month with our challenge group was working with primarily orange then blue and purple. We could use any shades and a little of some other color. So what I did was

decided to try to put in fabric a Tennessean' dream of a superbowl....lol I made the field out of orange and the post and yd lines blue. Then added mountains using fabric, texture magic and fabric paint. the sky was all shades of blue and purple....it was a challenge to only use those colors but all in all I think it came out ok. I used a white marking pen for the numbers and I wished that I did not but it was already too late so I will know next time that it is not good to use for something like that. For the TN Vols I tried just stitching it in blue but did not look dark enough so then I used fabric paint....
