Brother is home

Yes he is.....We brought him home today and I think it will do him allot of good to be there.  He will still have to take some oxygen for a little bit but hopefully it will not be for too long.  Thanks for all your good wishes and prayers I truly believed it is what helped him  to get better.  Now maybe I can post a few things I have been working on....have a great day.

Back To Square One, block 1

Brother is doing wonderful

Thank you to all of you who have sent prayers and good thoughts our way.  My brother did have his surgery yesterday and has already been put in a step down unit which is just unheard of on the first full day after surgery.  So there is no doubt that the Lord was guiding the surgeons hands.  He still has a way to go but he is doing whatever he is told by the nurses and then some, I am very proud of him.  Actually I have been at the hospital with him until about 4:30 today so now I am going to soak in the rub and then go to bed myself.  I just wanted to thank everyone.....you are very special people in my life.

My Brother...prayers please

I have a request if you care to help out.  My one and only Brother, Carl, is going in  to have at least a quad or could be 5 (which I do not even know what that is called) heart bypass surgery on Thursday the 31st of this month.  I know I have asked for my share of prayers and good Karma to be sent my way in the last year and you all have come through for me but now I ask if you could, would you please send them up or his way again for my brother.  He had a heart attack a few days before Christmas and after they did the scope it was determined that he was 70% blocked in almost all if not all.  He has never been in the hospital for anything and this was defiantly unexpected (well as it is for most people I would imagine) but for a first hospital stay I couldn't imagine anything worse either.  Anyway thanks so much I would appreciate it and I know he would also.  Have a great night.

QofV meeting

I went to my first Quilts of Valor meeting on Wednesday and had a great time. There were 6 of us and we were working on 4 different quilts.  It was a nice time for all and will become a regular monthly meeting which  will be wonderful.  Fran was our hostess and she has a wonderful large sewing area for lots of people.  Here are a few pics I took....

Yeah my first finish for 2013

I finally finished my Queen bee bag that I started in December.  I wanted a bag to hold the big rulers and long ones that you have to take to some classes.  The last class I took my long ruler to I dropped and it broke.  So before I take a class this year I wanted to make this one.  If you go here you will find the recipe

Well I hope you all had a wonderful New Years Eve and day with friends and loved ones.  I want to thank you all for staying by me and reading me, you all have truly been a blessing in my life.  I appreciate your opinions and what you have to say really matters.
